Episode 9: Machete Stylin'

Armed with a machete I bought for $15 in Outback Qld and some pubecent handle bars I was growing to try and compete with Oscar's beard, I attempted to help clear a camp site for us on our second night out camping after leaving Alice Springs.

In the end my method of clearing the chest high Spinifex came in third (and last) place to the more practical options employed by other members of the GWU cast and crew (surprise, surprise):

First place (with a special mention for also being the most dangerous): to Chuck and Greg (Soundie) who decided to set the grass on fire and "control burn" a campsite.

Second place: to Andy and Morgan (Camera men) + Oscar and Bob who took turns with the good ol' shovel.

I like to think that my method was still the most intimidating, should we have been jumped by a random gang of Outback thugs.
