We managed to get some really passionate groups on board for our intial 12 000km leg around Australia. Read below if you would like to know more about who they are and what they do.
We're now gearing up for our international expedition and we're looking for companies, individuals and organisations who share our vision for making sustainability fun and interesting for all. Please email us at email@example.com if you know of anyone or are someone who fits this description.
Tourism Australia wanted us to find the very best of Australia in our travels, and came on board as a financial partner to help us do that. The selfish part of our interest in the environment comes from growing up in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and wanting to find ways of protecting Australia's natural heritage. Tourism Australia was a perfect match in that respect, as they love to get behind sustainable initiatives for the same reason.
Hilton Hotels knew all about how tired we were when we got off the road, and kindly offered to shack us up wherever we could find them around Australia. They have great sustainability programs in place, and when we weren't refueling in the buffet, we were behind the scenes looking at carbon offsetting plans, reduced engery lighting and recyclying strategies they run amongst other things.
Helly Hansen are experts in outdoor protection, and had all the kit we needed to get dirty jobs done in any environment. Plus, they've got this great new Ecolab range which recycles material to make clothes. They also teamed up with Brooks to make sure we were well soled on the open road.
Corona love a good road trip. We went where they would rather be and they offered to take the edge off with delicious support for all our Grease Party-goers.
AYCC are all over the country and provided us with heaps of cool content for our Aussie trip. They are also connected to youth organisations all over the world who can provide more sustainability stories to check out when we hit the road for our international leg. If you want to get involved, just click on their logo.
COZero are our carbon counting buddies. We know that what we are doing isn't carbon neutral, and in places where we have to pump out some carbon, COZero have put together an offset package to help us get as close to zero as possible.
Onesteel gave us the aluminum we needed to build our boat and processor. Aluminum is recyclable, reusable and, thanks to Onesteel, affordable.
Zero Motorcycles are purveyors in futuristic transport of the two wheeled variety. They gave us two electric motorbikes for the road, for places where a bio-truck can't fit, for when we need to split up to find oil, or for when we just need a bit of alone time.
Steriflow are the guys who gave us our golden ticket, the microfilter that sits in our processor. With this, we can filter our biodiesel clean enough to drink, let alone drive on.
Redbull think we will need more than wings to finish this trip unscathed, so they're providing the energy we need for long drives, late nights and sleepy DJs.
Scintex are leaders in biofuel kit, and have helped us out with some of theirs. With their help/pumps/tanks/heaters/widgets/doohickeys we built the trailer that we use to convert waste oil into biodiesel.
Travellers Bookstore – got a good kick out of our idea, and pointed out that we had forgotten something: maps. Luckily, these guys provided us with more cartography than Cortez, so we were mapped for any situation around Australia.
Sea to Summit knew what equipment we needed to survive in the Aussie wilderness, and gave it to us. Sleeping bags, tents, you name it, they have it.
Cisco Systems are all about starting conversations, and helping us continue them all around the world. They sent us a few of their new Flipcams so that we could record our own little stories along the way.
Greenbeans Carbon is a Tasmanian initiative, and these guys offered to help us out for our stay in Tas. They can count your carbon and help you create better business strategies.
Dick Smith received a call from us and liked the idea, so he has decided to help us out with a bit of cash to get us on our way.
If you're interested in chatting to us, we've got Brand Books, Information Packs, Budgets, Route Documents, TV Series Treatments.... Let's talk.
