Marty McFly Can Beat It
Imagine a future where clothes, bags and other personal items are fully recyclable and have multimedia capabilities so you can browse and share data on the fly.
This is an image that renowned industrial designer Karan Singh Ghandi has for the future. He believes aesthetics and functionality should be represented hand-in-hand when it comes to everyday items.
The Androcell backpack is a perfect example of Gandhi's design style. The bag utilises a material known as e-paper allowing owners to fully customise the appearance of the bag, from the actual image to the colour and light being emitted off the material. To power it, the bag harnesses solar power when you're out and about during the day. The shoulder straps also make use of the e-paper and contain touch screen buttons allowing the individual to access music and videos as well as download and transfer data.
It's actually truly amazing stuff... and I desperately want one.
